South Bend, IN 46601 Business InformationOne of the newest store in downtown South Bend is also the most “local”. INDIANA HOME is located at 140 South Michigan Street. Quickly recognized as one of South Bend’s most unique boutiques, INDIANA HOME features hand-crafted items for every room in the home, with nearly every item created by local artisans who live within fifty miles of South Bend. Owner and South Bend native Tom Labuzienski has assembled a diverse collection from many talented folks from the Shipshewana, Middlebury and Nappanee area. Not only is the store locally owned, but it also supports many talented local artisans. Indiana Home is about as local as you can get. The items include: Hand-sewn quilts, quality hand-crafted furniture, locally designed Christmas decorations, old fashioned hand-woven rugs, “Amish” salsa, preserves and fudge. You will find unique dolls with hand-sewn outfits and doll furniture. There’s also a gallery of art and photographs, Amish made fireplaces, wind chimes, leather purses, handbags, belts and rag-rugs, hand carved wooden walking sticks, pens, bowls, collector’s boxes along with hand-woven baskets and many other creative decorations for the home. Featured selections are added daily. Many of these one of a kind treasures are also available to be custom made for each customer’s preferences. Traveling the remote back-roads of the Amish Country, owner and life-long South Bend resident Tom Labuzienski discovered the gifted artisans who now supply the new INDIANA HOME store.
