The building itself has been there since around 1897, leaving the place a quaint feel with original floors, lights and brick walls. The store was started and owned by Richard and Jolinda Zook until February of 2005. Levi and Joanna King bought the store and made some great changes and keeping all employees. Coming from South Bend to Middlebury,it was so refreshing how friendy and helpful everyone in the store is. It was surprising to see a store like this with such quality and selection. From stylish purses to fashion jewelry, distinctive wall decorations to unique figurines, local chocolate to unusual greeting cards. Who would have thought that all of this is under one roof in Middlebury. If you can't find a gift for someone special or a treat for yourself...you just weren't really looking.

The girls really did a fabulous job this year decorating the store! Hardly a day goes by that someone doesn't stop me and tell me how fabulous the store looks. (Some even pray for a red light at the town square so they can check out the windows!) I just want to thank Cindy, Ashley, Laura & Jo for the hard work in making the Cinnamon Stick truly the most beautiful store downtown. You make us so very proud! Levi & Jo |
