The firm of Metzger, Mancini & Lackner was formed by Carolyn and F. Dale Metzger in 1956 to serve the business communities of Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan. Joe Mancini joined the firm in 1981 and has been a partner since 1984. Larry Lackner joined the firm in 1989 and became a partner in 1992. The newest partner (2003) is Doug Kaczorowski who joined the firm in 1996. The offices were moved to our present location at 115 S. Eddy Street in 1996 to be more centrally located for our clientele. The nearly 40 year old building was renovated to be able to accommodate today’s fast paced technology. The partnership has been a leader in accounting software implementation. We have QuickBooks Pro Advisors on staff and all of our accountants are skilled in QuickBooks accounting software. We are a primary provider with respect to QuickBooks knowledge and information. We have also been a leader in electronic filing for individual clients. There is no additional fee for this service and with the speed and accuracy of electronic filing the client will receive their refund more quickly than the traditional paper filing method. Current technology allows us to store, scan, and retrieve files electronically so that your records are secure and easily accessible. Many of today’s accounting standards were established through the participation of Metzger, Mancini & Lackner, LLP partners in various professional accounting organizations, often in leadership positions. Supporting the community is a vital part of Metzger, Mancini & Lackner’s business ethic. Through participation in various professional accounting organizations, often in leadership positions, we have helped establish many of today’s accounting standards. Partners and staff have always been involved in civic and non-profit organizations. Whether as a member, serving as an officer or on the board of directors, we give back to the community where we live, work and play. The Chamber of Commerce of St. Joseph County honored Metzger, Mancini & Lackner with the Small Business of the Year Award in February, 2003. The prestigious award recognizes business leadership in the community, outstanding service to clients, and strong adherence to ethical standards. It was a privilege to be selected for this tribute by representatives of our community.
